In fact I didnt use any 960 up to now. But what I think on the stand by screen there must be one option "More". In that option you can choose edit and change the icons on the standby screen. For to change all the icons you need some software but all of them contains bugs and it is risky to install them. (五月 be if you are very experienced you may manage but I do not recommend you to do so)
Find some beautiful icons (.png files) and change only the icons on the stand by menu and the short cut menu. Leave the rest as it is.
